Scott Treble and his son Harrison are the operators of Scott's Garage.
"It is a family-owned business," explains Scott.
Their workshop - and mobile mechanical service which covers a big area down to Canberra - has been open for the past two years.
Scott says he and the family moved to this part of the world eight years ago, and Scott himself has more than 30 years experience in the industry.
Scott has worked on a wide variety of equipment from small chainsaws and mowers up through various motorcycles, boats, forklifts, all types of cars, many caravans, trailers and tractors, and even big behemoths like earthmoving equipment.
The Treble's motivation for establishing their own local business was "To try and help people out of situations, [and give people] another avenue in Goulburn to go to; we offer a variety of services."
Covering all sorts of mechanical needs from scheduled services, air-conditioning and general repairs, Scott says "we will work on anything auto," and that includes fork lifts, tractors and a lot more.
Scott says one of their main strengths is "We are honest and upfront. We do what we say we are going to do." As such, it's important to seek professional advice "So there are no dramas; it’s done properly."
They also enjoy "Meeting new people, helping people, [and] being part of the community."
As a very non-automotive example of that, Scott is a board member of the Lieder Theatre Company in Goulburn, and he has performed too. Casting credits include their 2015 production of William Punch: a Goulburn War Story, and their 2016 season of A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams.
Harrison is also involved with many of the Lieder Theatre Company's plays and productions, and is currently portraying the role of D’Artagnan, a central character in The Three Musketeers - a Ken Ludwig comedy. On stage until March 23, all profits are going to the Goulburn Teapot Club's support for children with autism.
