The school hosted a breakfast and an assembly to empower young women and pass on the message of equality.
Special guests included Member for Goulburn Pru Goward, PE teacher at Mulwaree High School and Australian sports representative Samantha 'Sass' Economos, as well as accredited plumber-carpenter Casey Barnes.
The assembly featured drama and music performances as well as inspirational talks from the invited guests.
Ms Goward addressed the students and challenged them to fight for women's rights.
"I would like to see a country where no one asks questions about gender," Goward said.
International Women's Day is held annually on March 8 and is celebrated all around the world.
