A total $700,000 has been allocated across the 2019/20 and 2020/21 financial years for more urban roundabouts.
A spokesman said work would begin on Monday, March 25 and was expected to continue until early June when the project would be completed, weather permitting.
Throughout the works, the intersection will be closed off in all directions with the appropriate traffic management measures in place.
This will include detours around the work site, although local access to business and properties within the work site will be maintained at all times, the council says.
"Measures will be taken to minimise inconvenience throughout construction, but cooperation of residents will be appreciated during these works," he said.
People experiencing problems during construction can contact the engineering projects officer, Stefan Gerakios on 4823 4844.
