Soon the leaves will be changing and there will be a chill in the air. Autumn is a beautiful time of year in Collector and what better way to spend a day than at the famous 16th annual Collector Village Pumpkin Festival.
Join thousands of people who flock to this quaint village for some good fun and a day that is devoted to all things pumpkin.
There is something for everyone wonderful food, great entertainment and market stalls.
The program for the day is jam packed with all kinds of fabulous events, such as live music by many talented artists.
The all-day festival offers fun activities with the flavour of a traditional country fair, including:
- cow milking demonstrations,
- pony rides,
- pumpkin rolling,
- hay bale maze,
- wheel barrow races,
- scarecrow building,
- Cobb & Co coach rides,
- The Great Pumpkin Treasure Hunt,
- Jumping Castle,
- mini hay bale maze,
- face painting,
- balloon art,
- rock climbing wall,
- historic machinery displays,
- handmade patchwork quilts,
- Sheep Dog demonstration,
- Collector’s history on display,
- and displays by the SES, RFS, and Police Rescue Dogs.
There is a new Tiny Tots Pumpkin Patch for little ones under 105cm tall. Many of these fun activities are free!
Food at the festival is not going to disappoint; there is pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup, pumpkin spiced lattes and so much more.
If you want something a little more traditional there is Devonshire Tea available although served with a twist - pumpkin scones!
There are over 100 market stalls.
The stalls will be showcasing local produce and celebrating rural life.
