bctraining was approved as a registered training organisation in 2013. The business previously operated for 15 years as Goulburn Heavy Vehicle Driver Training, offering training and assessment for truck licences.
When Roads and Maritime Services required Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessments, truck licences, be provided by RTOs, Warwick Burrows decided to establish his own, and bctraining was born.
Warwick is the CEO and driver trainer with Mark Burrows, Graeme Northey and Kathryn Allen as trainers for various other courses. Twenty-three driver trainer/assessors across NSW provide driver training and assessment in partnership with bctraining.
Although initially established to deliver driver training, bctraining expanded its courses on offer to include Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gambling.
It also offers courses in partnership with other RTOs for Forklift and Order Picker, Elevated Work Platform and plant tickets including Front End Loader, Excavator, Backhoe, Bobcat, Dozer, Grader, Roller and Haul Truck.
bctraining is the sole local RTO offering these courses. It also services surrounding areas through the Southern Highlands, ACT, South Coast and Riverina. Being centrally located, bctraining is easily accessible to clients, not only in Goulburn, but the majority of Southern NSW. It has a friendly country flavour and treats all clients on a personal level and not as a number.
There is a growing trend in the training industry for online training. bctraining prefers and only delivers more personal face-to-face training which provides a much greater depth of training resulting in graduates of a higher standard which is being sought by employers.
bctraining believes not all clients are the same and ensures they get the training they need for their career path and not a one size fits all. The business is 100 per cent locally owned and proud to be a member of the Goulburn business community. It supports local causes such as charities and sporting groups.
