A SHOWGIRL
I have been told that Lauren, the daughter of Michelle and Antony Selmes, was chosen Miss Showgirl at Crookwell Show.
Lauren then competed at successfully in Cobargo on Saturday and is now the representative of Zone 3.
Lauren will have to spend 10 days in Sydney over the Royal Easter Show when the final judging will take place.
GARDENERS HEAR ABOUT ROWING AROUND GALLIPOLI
Andrew Woolmer proved a very interesting guest speaker at the Garden Club, relating the training that took place before his team rowed across the bay at Gallipoli.
His talk gave a new angle to the geography at the war scene and was much appreciated.
Members are now looking forward to the boat cruise from Nowra up the Shoalhaven River.
The book is full but Jacquie says members are welcome to put their name on the list in case somebody is forced to pull out.
POULTRY EXHIBITS CONSIDERED 'GOOD QUALITY'
Norm Moroney says that most of the cages in the poultry pavilion were filled with over 100 good quality exhibits of all sorts, from the Grand Champion to the Junior's "Funniest Bird of the Show" in the 2019 AP&H Show.
Norm said that he appreciated the help given by Grahame and Frances Kent, Mick Calleja, Grant McGregor and everyone who assisted in making the Poultry Section interesting for visitors, who asked questions and took many photos.
Kim George was acknowledged for work in days leading up to the show.
Special thanks also went to Judge, Brett Porter, who came from Canberra to assist Jim Bushell.
Norm said that the Junior Exhibitors were great.
The Hines Family children received the Sean Moroney Memorial for the fifth year in a row.
Chase Johansen and Luke McLeod-Fitzgerald won "the Funniest Looking Chook" - those chooks certainly deserved to win that award.
A thank you to Junior Exhibitor, Michael Jeffrey, for his help and congratulations on his success.
Sam Pulis won the Brian Tyce Memorial Trophy while the Robert Hunt Memorial Trophy went to Julia Brown for her Muscovy Water Fowl entry.
Brian and Robert were great supporters of the Taralga AP&H, both as judges and exhibitors.
SCHOOL LEADERS GET A GRIP
Taralga Public School captain and vice captain, Regan Martin and Luke McLeod, attended the Grip Leadership Student Conference held at the Workers Club early in the month.
The boys had a lot of fun as well as a learning experience and the opportunity to meet other students from schools around the region.
