Ayres and Graces

Join members of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra for an evocative musical journey through the streets and homes of 18th-century England and the palace of the 'Sun King' Louis XIV of France. The concert features heavenly trio sonatas, gorgeous pastoral folk tunes and intimate chamber music alongside stately works of grander scale.

Australian Super Bike Championship

Reigning ASBK champion and unofficial "Mayor of Goulburn", Troy Herfoss returns to Wakefield Park for Round 2 of the Australian Superbike Championship. The Penrite Honda rider will be looking to stamp his dominance early in the season, as he aims to defend his title in 2019. Plenty of other riders will be looking to spoil Herfoss' happy homecoming though, with three-time World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss, and previous ASBK champions Wayne Maxwell and Josh Waters looking to claim victory in the Southern Tablelands.

Bring along a picnic chair and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of music, food and drinks. Held at a lovely venue 5 minutes from town. Featuring The Corbys, Jamie Agius, Garth Prentice and The Aprentices, Kenny and The Kat Herders, The Rich Pitcher, Ashleigh Chapman, Corbey-Lea Hunt. Brought to you by The Crescent School P and C. Gates open at 3pm with entertainment starting at 4pm. This is an all-weather event.

With the Shell Questacon Science Circus, spin yourself until you're dizzy, compare your reflexes to a Formula 1 driver and see your fingertips under the microscope. Veolia Arena will be overflowing with exciting hands-on science exhibits when the Science Circus and their colourful semi-trailer roll into town for an exhibition of their 'pop-up' science centre. Visitors of all ages can enjoy over 40 interactive science exhibits and watch spectacular science shows as Science Circus presenters hold fire in their hands, lie on a bed of nails and levitate beach balls!!

The theme of the Great War centenary continues this year, with the focus on 'Returning Troops, the Spanish Influenza Pandemic: the Aftermath of War'. Because of the tyranny of distance and the lack of suitable transport ships, many service personnel were still arriving back in Australia well into the 1920s. This is a new exhibition.

The Lieder Theatre Company presents Ken Ludwig's swashbuckling romantic comedy 'The Three Musketeers'. Final shows this weekend! Ludwig's adaptation offers an irreverent slant to the original story written by Alexandre Dumas in the 17th century. It's a fun family show with lots of sword-fighting and romance.
Georgian Glass: Colonial Style

More than 40 pieces from the collection, including glasses, rummer glasses, jugs, serving ware and candlesticks.The collection highlights stylistic changes in English glass, driven by advances in technology and changes in the way people ate, drank and socialised. It surveys major changes in style and taste during the Georgian era.

Third-generation glass blower Peter Minson produces unique glass products, such as wine glasses, teapots, flowers and jewellery. He works from a studio in Binalong, a village 30 minutes from Yass, and will talk about his own work and the history of glass techniques.
Big Red Kidney Walk

Come down and support Goulburn's second Big Red Kidney Walk. Meet new people, support and connect with others that live with kidney disease, or just come down to support a local community event. There will be a barbecue on the day, jumping castle and face painting for the kids and all money raised is going to Kidney Health Australia, for much needed research and support services. Everyone is welcome, flat walking track, dogs welcome on leads.

Every Sunday, bring along your talents, come and join the friendly bunch to share some music and singing on the veranda or by the fire. Join in or come to listen and enjoy. The Australian sessions begin at 1pm followed by the Veranda band Americana sessions at 5pm.
