Guests travelled from Sydney and Canberra while Robert had his children, grandchildren and first great granddaughter present.
Eighty people gathered in Goulburn for the occasion.
All Robert's siblings were present and his grandson shaved his head for the Cancer Council on the day and raised almost $1000.
WIND FARM COMMUNITY FUNDS
John Bell, general manager of the Upper Lachlan Shire Council, says that applications are now open for 2019/20 Taralga Wind Farm Community Fund, which currently totals $130,900.
The fund aims to support projects and initiatives that contribute to communities within 20kms of the Wind Farm.
In the 2018/19 funding round, community groups benefited from a combined total of $127,500, allowing them to invest in much needed equipment and infrastructure.
"I would encourage all community groups who are eligible for funding to apply in the 2019/20 round," said Mr Bell.
The following projects received funding in 2018/19: Taralga Sports Club for the construction of a disabled toilet facility, $4,497. Taralga Sports Club, external painting, $5,995. Taralga Bowling Club, for the installation of Shadex System for Bowling greens, $9,551. Taralga Memorial Hall, installation of electric doors and flooring, $28,410. Taralga A.P. & H. Association, purchase of P.A. system for Taralga Showground, $14,698. Taralga Public School, installation of motorised blinds, $20,734. Crookwell/Taralga Aged Care, upgrade of window blinds at Sunset Lodge, $15,000. Taralga RFS Brigade purchase of two portable PMR radios, $3,713. Taralga Historical Society, upgrade of Wombie Room to an archives and research room, $4,902.

GARDEN CLUB REMINDER
Jacquie reminds those lucky enough to be booked on the Shoalhaven Trip that the fee ($100) must be in by this Friday, March 29. There is a waiting list on this trip as there is a restriction on the number acceptable. May meeting will be a Mothers Day celebration at the Club on Thursday 9th.
RSL AGM
The AGM of the RSL Sub-branch was held on Wednesday, March 13. The committee elected was: president, David Rees; and vice presidents, Richard Davison and Neil Croker. Long time secretary/treasurer, Julie Alders declined nomination and Albert Whipp was elected. Members of the sub-branch thanked Julie for many years of exceptional service.
