Police are trying to find the gunman, who was seen with a firearm in Livingstone Boulevard, in Parkenham, just after 6pm on Monday.

Investigators believe two men on push bikes, one armed with a gun, were seen arguing with two other males and a female.

The female walked away, when the two male victims confronted the offender and chased him onto Heritage Boulevard.

While the offender was running towards Henry Road, he fired two to three shots and was last seen running through a nearby school.

The victims, in their 20s, fled in a blue Holden Commodore sedan.

No one was injured.

The offender is believed to bed in his early 20s, of olive complexion, 180cm tall and of medium build.

He wore a dark hooded jacket, black track pants and Asic runners.
