Anglicare's Wollondilly Gardens retirement village in Goulburn is continuing to grow, as they add more villas and apartments to their already-established community.
At 10am on Wednesday April 3 they officially launched the newest stage (Stage 3), and marked the occasion with a turning of the sod attended by management, staff, residents and representatives from partner organisations.
A spokesperson from Anglicare explained that Stage 3 at Wollondilly Gardens consists of six detached villas - five of which have already sold so be quick for number six - and it will adjoin the current village of 69 villas.
For those who are unfamiliar with Wollondilly Gardens, the village is set on a peaceful 18 acre, semi-rural setting. Its villas have lock-up garages as well as private, pet-friendly courtyards.

Anglicare's general manager of retirement living, John Vilskersts says the new development - which is being completed by Pattersons Building Group - is in high demand and is welcomed by older residents within the Goulburn community.
"This new development is very exciting as it's generated a huge amount of interest that is helping to inform us about the future needs of older people in this community and broader region. We are also really pleased to see work underway to implement a Supported Living Program to assist current and future residents to remain longer in their own home," says John.
Beyond these six new villas now under construction, plans are also underway for a large Stage 4 development which will include 20 or 30 serviced apartments.
They tell us that Stage 4 is also going to add new community facilities. These are to include social aspects like a café, as well as various helpful features that will enable residents to stay in the village as their health needs change.
The village's newest residents, Stephen Rigby and his wife Pam, moved in to Wollondilly Gardens in February and say they are delighted with the village and the planned developments.
"I was taken in by the rural aspect of the village and the delightful views to the south and west taking in the Wollondilly River and surrounding ridges. My Wife and I enjoy connecting with people through common interests and activities," says Stephen.
"We are also fortunate to have staff members who greatly care for the residents here. This was reflected in their consultation with us leading up to the new development."
You don't have to wait for Stage 4 to live here. There is still one detached villa available to buy from Stage 3.
