Taralga Wildlife Park is home to both exotic and native birds and animals and there is plenty to see and do as you explore the property. The park is open Thursday to Monday 10am to 4pm and every day during school holidays, prices are: Adults $12.50, Seniors $10, Children $7.50 and Family ticket $30, visitors can bring a picnic or use the barbecue facilities and you can purchase snacks from the kiosk. Alpaca Farm Experience in Crookwell is a fun, interactive encounter. The alpacas are friendly and inquisitive, they each have their own personality. Watch as they interact with each other, it's soon obvious who leads the herd! Alpacas come in a variety of colours, and are gentle in nature. Hand feed and move freely among the pack. Ideal for children of all ages. Feeding times are 10am and 2pm $5 a person or $10 a family.

Wombeyan Caves north of Taralga are spectacular limestone caves formed in marble and featuring stunning stalagmites and stalactites. National Parks and Wildlife Service staff offer guided tours or explore the self-guided Fig Tree Cave. Wombeyan is also home to a variety of wildlife and a great spot for bird watching. Strike it rich, try your luck at fossicking, sapphires, garnets, zircons and gold can be found in the waters of Grabben Gullen Creek. The public fossicking area is located under the bridge on Sapphire Road. Tuena Creek in Tuena is best known for gold finds and the public area is located adjacent to the Campgrounds off Bathurst Street on the northern side of the village.
