Mr Marmont began his career in Goulburn in 1969, and served a short stint at Tumbarumba before moving to Hay with his wife for "40-plus years".
The NSW Ambulance Service said it was "so proud to have [Robert] represent us" and thanked him for his dedication.
Yarra MVA
A driver walked away unscathed from an early morning single vehicle crash at Yarra on the Federal Highway on Saturday.
The driver was the sole occupant of the car, and an officer at Goulburn Police Station confirmed the driver received "nil injuries".
The vehicle, travelling towards Canberra, had not long merged onto the Federal Highway from the Hume.
The vehicle left the road and struck a sapling, ripping off branches.
The impact occurred about 3.15am on May 18.
Officers from the Hume Police District attended, and the vehicle was towed.
