Programs and exhibitions coordinator of the gallery Hannah Gee said the creators of the artworks are textile artists.
"They use mainly use cotton and linen as the materials," Ms Gee said.
Artist Carolyn Cabena had her "What colour is empathy" artwork which took three months to make.
"Colours represent feelings and I wanted to do something on empathy, so I went with the colour yellow," Ms Cabena said.
"The slippers represent empathy as they are the shoes in the saying 'put yourself in their shoes'.
The exhibition will remain open until Saturday, June 29.
