The Vice Chancellor of Central Queensland University (CUQ) Nick Klomp paid a visit to Goulburn recently.
Mr Klomp was here to meet the board of the Country University Centre, based at Goulburn TAFE.
He has been on a tour of sites that CUQ runs courses through.
"CUQ is the most national of universities and it has been delightful turning up to all 26 locations," he said.
"Many of them study hubs and I am really pleased that our collaboration with Country University Centres (CUC) here in Goulburn and Cooma has been in operation for some time and we are providing great support for students wanting to study university degrees."
He said he was keen to listen to what the local board had to say about the progress and direction of the centre.
"I am here to meet everyone on the board, but I also want to get an indication of how things are going here," he said.
"Goulburn is an important centre and I bet there are more things we can do for the community and CUQ exists to increase access and participation in post-secondary education wherever we can.
"I think the board has their ears to the ground locally and they know what is required, so they will have the best ideas about how CUQ can provide more for the Goulburn community."
