The Cup is being hosted by the Goulburn and District Netball Association in 2019, which association vice president, Karen Campbell, said had them "very excited."
"It gives us a chance to display our fields and open it up to schools from other districts.
"They come from Moss Vale and Yass and all the surrounding areas. It's great to be able to showcase our kids and our grounds. It's gonna be a big day."
The Schools Cup has run for about six years, and Regional Development Officer for the Riverina/South Coast region, Maddie Howard, said that she expects this weekend's event to draw roughly 30 teams.
There is a wide-ranging standard of netball at the Schools Cup, and Howard said that it is "all about inclusion."
"The boys and girls can both play.
"We have the top-end rep players that come and play it, and the people that have never played netball before, it's the perfect opportunity for them to experience it."
The GDNA also hosted the Fast Five competition earlier in the year, which was aimed at college students in Year 11 and Year 12.
Both competitions were enthusiastically embraced by the association, not least because of their emphasis on inclusiveness.
"Because we don't have many boys in the netball competition, the Fast Five and the schools comp are mixed teams, so it gives the girls and boys an opportunity to play sport together," Campbell said.
"It's good for the boys to see, after they play a bit ... they go 'wow, that's intense'.
"It's good to see the boys and girls build that team and camaraderie together. I enjoy the lack of barrier between the sexes."
The competition in Goulburn is one of eight which will take place across the South Coast. Winners of their respective divisions at each of the different competitions will play in the regional finals in Shoalhaven, which precede the state finals in Sydney.
The competition is open to students from Year Three to Year 10 in public, private, and independent systems. There are girls, boys, and mixed divisions available for all students.
The Schools Cup next week will be played across Tuesday June 18 and Wednesday June 19, from 9am to 2.30pm each day at the Carr Confoy netball courts.
The tournament comes off the back of recent successes for the GDNA, which attended the 2019 Senior State Titles over the weekend and produced some strong results.
