The annual general meeting of the Goulburn Lantern Club raising funds for the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) was held at Cascades Restaurant, Best Western Plus, Lagoon Street on Friday June 14 at 11am.

President Rona welcomed members, with a special welcome to Darren Parmenter, the community partnership events manager for RIDBC Lantern Clubs. Joyce Halls and June Matthews were wished a happy birthday.
The annual president's report, minutes and treasurer's report were read; and election of officer bearers for next 12 months followed.
After more than 30 years of being treasurer for the club Melva Durrant has decided to retire from the position.
Jenny Thomas also resigned from being secretary because of work commitments.
Both volunteers were thanked for their hard work and devotion to the club over the years.
Joan Hurst and Barbara Duffy were presented with their membership badges by Darren Parmenter.
A Christmas in July lunch will be held at Cascades Restaurant Best Western Plus on Friday July 12. Arrive 11.30am for a noon lunch. Cost $27. Members and guests are most welcome.
