The NSW/ACT Regional Achievement and Community Awards are all about recognising quiet achievers.
They're about the passion of people whose commitment to making regional New South Wales and the ACT a better place and they are an inspiration to all of us.
The Awards started in 2002 to encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contributions individuals, communities and businesses are making.
In 2018, Goulburn business 'Fitness in the Park' won a Customer Service Award this way.
The business runs individual, partner and team competitions and turns "workouts" into games, encouraging laughter and fun.
Owner Angela Hookham said she was passionate about the "whole" person being healthy physically, mentally and spiritually, with most new clients coming from existing client referrals.
Mothers could take along their children, combining social interaction with exercise.
So, simply pick up the phone, call the Awards Office on 1300 735 445 and tell them your champion(s) name.
They will take the nomination from there!
Nominate in one or more of the following: Department of Planning and Industry Individual Excellence in Crown Land Management Award; Department of Planning and Industry Crown Land Manager Excellence Award; Prime Super Agricultural Innovation Award; Prime Super Employer Excellence in Aged Care Award; Ricoh Australia Customer Service Award; TransGrid Leadership Award; Wholistic Financial Solutions Small Business Achievement Award; and Awards Australia Connecting Communities Award.
The nominations close Wednesday July 31.
