Police have confirmed that a 51-year-old man has died in a car accident near Goulburn over night.

The man was driving south on Crookwell Road at Kingsdale when the vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree.
The driver suffered serious head injuries and was unable to be revived.
The accident happened just before midnight on Monday, July 8.
Police have not released the name of the deceased. They will not do that until they have formally identified the man and had discussions with the family.
Officers from The Hume Police District will prepare a report for the coroner.
