The healthcare and social assistance industry is expected to require another 85,000 workers in the regions through to 2023, according to 'The Future of Regional Jobs' report published by The Regional Australia.
With the expected growth in the coming years, TAFE Goulburn has introduced Certificate IV in Mental Health and the Certificate IV in Disability this year.
"Every year, almost one in every five Australians will experience a mental illness. TAFE NSW Goulburn offers Certificate IV in Mental Health for people looking for a career where they can make a profound difference to the one in five and to their community," Jonathan Davis from TAFE NSW Acting Regional General Manager said.
The qualification is recognised nationally and students will have a range of study options to choose including online, on campus, part-time or full-time.
Graduates of the Certificate IV in Disability will hold a nationally-recognised qualification to support and empower people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence.
"TAFE New South Wales is constantly innovating and speaking to industry and employers to ensure that we are delivering the courses that they need to meet their employment requirements," Mr Davis added.
