The rock climbing was run by the Goulburn Climbing Sloths while Mission Australia supported the night by providing the equipment for the movie.
The Sloths are a local group of light minded people who like to go rock climbing and train at the PCYC.
Enthusiastic rock climber Brett Webb, who is from the Sloths and also on the PCYC committee, said he was pleased to see so many happy faces.
"This is a good night to get young people to have some fun and to enjoy themselves," Mr Webb said.
Members of the Sloths include local vet from the Goulburn Veterinary Clinic Zach Lederhose who joined to have some fun after work and local chef Chas Ruffles.
Mr Webb said "The Dawn Wall" was chosen because people from the movie were doing a lecture tour across Australia and it fit in well with the theme of rock climbing.
