ACR Asbestos Consultants
2019 AWARDS:
- Winner, Excellence in Customer Service
ACR Asbestos Consultants prides itself on going above and beyond for its customers, whether traveling across the country for jobs or getting lab reports processed until 3am in the morning so people can re-enter their properties knowing they are safe to do so. It's no surprise then the business took out Excellence in Customer Service at the recent Goulburn Business Awards.
Director Ben Williams said the result was amazing and thanked his business partner and wife for her contributions. "I'd firstly like to thank Samantha, my wife, who without her work and support, ACR wouldn't be the business it is today," he said.
He also expressed his gratitude to his father, Frank, who started the company in 1982, for "all of the years of hard work he put into the business and who is now enjoying a well deserved retirement". Mr Williams also thanked the person who nominated ACR Asbestos Consultants for the award. "It means a lot that you took the time to do so," Mr Williams said.
ACR is an industry leader in occupational hygiene and specialises in asbestos and HAZMAT. The company has proven to be reliable and cost effective, delivering projects on time and on budget with an excellent safety record.
It has expanded its field to include contaminated soil management and management of airborne contaminates, recently completing work at Parliament House where sealants high in Volatile Organic Compounds were being applied during floor resurfacing works. ACR implemented a ventilation system and provided live on-site monitoring of the work areas that would alarm any personnel of hazardous working conditions.

Locally, ACR has also recently completed the inspection, testing and implementation of the HAZMAT management plan of the Anglicare site on Cowper Street in Goulburn. This project included the inspection of 12 buildings on site and implementing a management plan that was not just detailed, but easy for the end user to understand.
ACR designed an overarching management plan for the site with detailed registers on each building that were accessed separately in digital form. It meant contractors and staff could access the registers quickly leading to less down time on site.
ACR is constantly looking at ways to help clients with management of complex issues, making building registers more user friendly or using equipment that provides live data for the workers on site. With the care and knowledge of a local family-owned and run Goulburn-based company, ACR ensures the person you talk to is the person who does the inspection.
