Our guest speaker was Mhairi Fraser from Home-Start, Southern Tablelands which is a home based advice and support for parents with children 0-5 years.
Home-Start is a not for profit early intervention service established in 1989. The Family Worker focuses on strengthening the relationship between parents, babies and young children.
It also helps reduce isolation to build family friendly communities. It helps parents understand and support their child's development; respond positively to children's feelings; manage behaviour with understanding; take care of themselves; connect with the community; build confidence in family life.
