Glebe Avenue resident Leah Staples was at work when her husband called her.
"You better get home quick. A car has gone through the house," he told her.
Mrs Staples said she arrived to find the fire brigade and police around her home and a car crashed into the bay window of the family's Glebe Avenue home.
The vehicle, driven by an 18-year-old male P-plater, was travelling north on Auburn Street, rounded the corner into Glebe Avenue before losing control. It mounted a kerb and crashed through two fences before crashing into the home.
"There are cracks everywhere. It will be a big job to fix," Mrs Staples said as she surveyed the large hole in the brickwork.
Her husband and daughter were home at the time but were in the rear kitchen when they heard "a bang." They were not injured.
A builder was at the home on Friday morning assessing the damage. Mrs Staples said the home was insured.
Thursday 6pm
An 18-year-old man was lucky to avoid injury in a car crash in Goulburn on Thursday afternoon.
Police said the teenager was travelling north on Auburn Street at about 4pm when he lost control of his Ford sedan at the intersection with Glebe Avenue.
The vehicle careered into the side fence of a house and the rear fence of another and struck a bay window in one of the homes, causing possible structural damage.
He was not injured and neither were any occupants of the homes.
The vehicle was towed from the scene and the driver was issued a ticket for negligent driving.
NSW Fire and Rescue also attended as a precaution to ensure no oil spilled over the road.
Police reported that local and district roads were largely free of accidents during today's rain.
Wet conditions are also expected in coming days, with snow predicted on Saturday.
