A SEVERE weather warning for damaging wind gusts exceeding 90km/h has been issued for the region.

A complex low pressure system to the south is sending a series of cold fronts sweeping across NSW, generating vigorous west to southwesterly winds in most areas, particularly eastern parts. The last of these fronts is expected to clear the region early Monday.
Damaging winds are expected in eastern parts of the Central Tablelands and in areas around Goulburn on Saturday.
Conditions are expected to ease during Sunday morning, but will remain strong and gusty in many areas through the remainder of Sunday.

Wind gusts recorded during Friday include:
- 50km/h at Bathurst
- 30km/h at Lithgow
- 59km/h at Goulburn
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
- Keep at least eight metres away from fallen power lines or objects that may be energised, such as fences.
- Report fallen power lines to either Ausgrid (131 388), Endeavour Energy (131 003), Essential Energy (132 080) or Evoenergy (131 093) as shown on your power bill.
- For emergency help in floods and storms, ring your local SES Unit on 132 500.
