She has been working in the areas of digital fiction and electronic literature for over two decades and is a practitioner of net art.
Basically, she is a storyteller, using different mediums and platforms, which are mostly digitally based.
Lately, she has been using Virtual Reality technology to craft both 3D models and text, which she combines together to create Virtual Reality Experiences and stories.
Much of her artwork is futuristic and visually stunning.
She also works developing digital games, plays with code poetry, and has created her own language called Mezangelle, which is a blend of poetry and programming languages. Her projects are taught worldwide.
Ms Breeze has won many awards over the years and her work been included in many anthologies, but recently she also won the 2019 Marjorie C. Luesebrink Career Achievement Award. This award honours a visionary artist and/or scholar who has brought excellence to the field of electronic literature and has inspired others to help create and build the field.
She said she was "gobsmacked" about winning the award.
"This award in electronic/digital literature circles is probably one of the highest accolades you can aim for," she said.
"I'm both shocked and stoked to have won it actually, as the previous winners have been incredible luminaries in the field. Last year N Katherine Hayles won it, and she has been one of my idols for years now.
"Awards are great, but you need to continue creating and evolving the work."
She incorporates a social commentary into much of her work.
She completed an Applied Social Science in Psychology at Charles Sturt University before returning to Goulburn to study a diploma in Fine Arts at TAFE. She also has a Creative Arts degree from Wollongong University.
She likes working in regional Australia and says it allows space for her creative work to emerge.
"I like the slower pace of living. It suits my creative streak," she said.
"It also allows me to get back in touch with the environment. I am into permaculture and looking after the environment in a holistic way.
"Digitally based work can be disseminated from wherever I am, it can go throughout the world.
"I have been a digital native since the Internet arrived and I have been connecting with people all over the world ever since.
"I have always been outside the box. I have a scientific and well as a creative mind. I take a holistic view of things."
