Renewable Energy Tour
Want to learn more about renewable energy from the experts? Crookwell II wind farm is offering a free guided tour of its facility on Tuesday, September 3, giving you a chance to get up close to a turbine and to ask all the questions you've ever wanted to ask someone in the know.
Crookwell II is owned by Global Power Generation and has been in operation since November 2018. It consists of 28 turbines and is capable of generating 300,000 megawatts/hour per year of renewable electricity. That is enough electricity to supply 42,000 homes!
Crookwell II is located eight minutes southeast of Crookwell on the road to Goulburn and is notable for being beside the original Crookwell I wind farm, commissioned in 1998 as the first grid connected in Australia.
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to examine Australia's energy future up close! Each tour includes minibus transport to and from Crookwell and a light lunch.
