"Last year Goulburn Workers dispersed more than $400,000 to over 100 different organisations. This included funding for community events, schools, sporting clubs and community support services," says operations manager Jason O'Keefe.
"Goulburn Workers has a proud sporting heritage dating back to 1959," he adds.
"Along with the sponsorship of our own Goulburn Workers Bulldogs playing in the Canberra Rugby League competition, Goulburn Workers is also the major sponsor of the Goulburn Dirty Reds Rugby Union Football Club, Goulburn Strikers Football Club, Goulburn Swans AFL Club, Goulburn Stags Cricket and Football Clubs. We also support many sporting sub-bodies."
Beyond these, "we have contributed significantly to our local community, from donating gift vouchers to a local primary school fete for their fundraising efforts, assisting a sporting team to participate in local and interstate competitions, or providing funds to charity organisations to support the less fortunate in their times of need, the club is proud to be associated with all," Mr O'Keefe continued.

"The level of support distributed throughout the whole community is a testament of our club's culture, charter and character."
However, "it is not all about the money or items donated, we also provide a fantastic sporting and recreation area at Goulburn Workers Arena for our town's benefit," he noted, also pointing out that the cost of its upkeep is additional to that $400,000.
Being a registered club means that it is owned by its members. That's probably you. And if it's not, then you should definitely consider it.
In terms of what they achieve for the community, "We are certainly proud of everything. We have a facility that we offer our members and guests that is second to none, and it is by their continued support of the club that enables us as a club to distribute funds and provide services, which, in essence is on their behalf. For that I sincerely thank all of our members, their guests and visitors of this great club for their patronage throughout the years, for without them none of this would be possible," he said.
"We immensely appreciate the support we receive from our members, guests and community at large. We will continue to offer a venue that provides for all our members who currently range in age from 18 to their late 90s. As a club we are committed to provide a safe, relaxing and enjoyable environment for all to share."
