Break and enters on dwellings appears to be on the rise in Goulburn Mulwaree, with 81 reported incidents over the 12 months to June, 2019, up from 69 in the previous year.

There also appears to be an slight increase in car theft, with 36 cars being reported as stolen, up from 33 on the same period for the previous year.
But on the positive side, there were significant decreases in stealing from cars, shoplifting, and a big decrease in fraud.
In Goulburn Mulwaree:
- stealing from retail stores (139 incidents) is down by 21 reported incidents for the 12 months to June, 2019
- stealing from motor vehicles (95) is down by 26
- fraud (150) is down by 56.
Most of the other crime categories appears to be stable or trending slightly downwards in Goulburn Mulwaree.
The statistics come from the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR), released earlier this month.
The number of domestic-violence related assault (104 reports) has dropped by 24 over the 12 months to June, 2019.
Non-domestic violence related assault (126 reports) is down by 3, sexual assault (24 reports) is down by 24. The reported cases of indecent assault was about stable, with a rise of one case (52 reports) on the previous year.

Malicious damage to property is slightly up, with 254 reported incidents, compared to 250 last year.
