The Yass Swimming Club (YSC) will host the first SISA South West region qualifying meet of the 2019/20 Summer season on Sunday, November 24 at Yass Swimming Pool.

This will be the first meet hosted by a Yass Club in almost 10 years and approximately 800 race entries from Yass and surrounding towns are expected.
"All YSC swimmers are looking forward to competing at their home pool," YSC publicity officer Callan Kemp said.
"Most have never had the opportunity to compete in their home pool outside of school carnivals."
To compete at the carnival, all swimmers are required to be registered with a Swimming NSW affiliated swimming club.
Yass Swimming Club is encouraging and welcoming all swimmers to join and be able to compete at swim meets around the region, state and country.
Registrations are scheduled to open on September 18 for the 2019/2020 swimming season.
Registration fees are $80 for swimmers aged eight and under, $100 for swimmers aged nine and over and $22.50 for a non swimmer or parent.
School aged kids living in NSW can swim for free if they use the Active Kids voucher which is offered by the state government.
Most have never had the opportunity to compete in their home pool outside of school carnivals.

With this being the first carnival in many years any extra help with set-up, timekeeping or any extra jobs on the day will be greatly appreciated.
"We look forward to a great day of swimming and are hoping to see many family, friends and community members there on the day to support Yass Swimming Club's rising swimming stars," Kemp said.
A special mention must go to the Bogo Merinos, who have come on board as a major sponsor of the swimming club.
They provided a sizeable donation towards polo shirts for members to ensure the swimmers were looking like a team.
The club at present does not have a current uniform so this donation was greatly appreciated by all involved with the event.
"We look forward to showing them off as well as our new swimming caps at our carnival," Kemp said.
