The convoy weekend this year includes a charity dinner on Saturday, November 9 which starts at 6:30pm. It includes buffet dinner, live entertainment and a special guest speaker Ron Finemore from Finemore Transport.
The cost of ticket for the charity dinner is $65 and the venue will be Grace-Milson Centre on Braidwood Road.
The convoy and carnival day will be held on Sunday, November 10 and the truck convoy procession will leave from Gateway Service Station at 9:30am ending at Goulburn Showground.
President of the Convoy for Kids committee, Bryan Webb, has been involved with the convoy since the year it started.
"I have supported the convoy every year since the beginning and have had a truck in it," he said.
"This year, the committee decided to organise the convoy on Sunday instead of Saturday as it gives truckies more time to get their gear ready since lots of people work on Saturday."
Annette Ohlback, treasurer of the committee, said that Convoy for Kids offers support to children with things like fuel and accommodation as they have to travel to places like Sydney and Canberra for treatment.
She said that the community has been very supportive of the charity.
"The local community has been supporting us more and more with each passing year," Mrs Ohlback said.
Member Sue Webb want more people to reach out to them for assistance.
"We want to get the word out for people who are finding it hard to get in contact with us. They can go to the Convoy for Kids website which has an application for assistance. They can fill it and get it to us and after discussing it in the meeting, we are able to help them with some of their needs in most cases," Sue Webb said.
"We pay for chemist bills, travelling expenses, accommodation and parking as in some cases it takes $30-40 to park," she said.
On the day of the event, the ceramic truck painting competition will be open to all visitors. They can purchase a truck pack complete with paints etc, with part of the cost being donated directly to Convoy For Kids Goulburn.
There will be dance performances by Industry Dance Co and Bellyup Bellydancers and a demonstration by Goulburn Martial Arts Academy. Other attractions on the day include a chocolate wheel, prizes and rides.
