The host town was appropriate, given Marulan's location on the 150th meridian.
It was a great success with the Clockmakers demonstrating their clock-making equipment as well as their own handmade clocks. It was an interesting collection to say the least.
We were also very privileged to have Thomas Mitchell's original Theodolite as well as his telescope on display. There was also a scale model of a 1927 Caterpillar tractor.
There were people queuing with their clocks and watches for appraisals. As these kind Clockmakers are for non-profit, we were given the opportunity of a charity of choice. We chose the Goulburn Palliative Care and Oncology Support Group and the girls were there collecting the gold coin entry and appraisals.
The Goulburn Visitors Centre had their most colourful van there and have been most helpful with advertising. The CWA and Lions Club were busy serving lunches and Marulan was really buzzing with activity.
Thank you to our sponsors, Marulan Chamber of Commerce and Gunlake Quarries and to all those who worked tirelessly to put this event together and of course, to the Clockmakers.
