With the new $150 million Goulburn Base Hospital and Health Service Redevelopment underway, the Pink Ladies decided it was time to create their own pictorial history.
They are looking to explore and honour those who have volunteered their time to the Pink Lady brigade of Goulburn.
There will be a meeting on Monday, 25 November from 11am to 12pm in the MultiPurpose Room at the Bourke Street Health Service to officially launch the search.
The Pink Ladies have been stalwart volunteers at Goulburn Base Hospital since the 1970s.
"This is a tremendous way to capture the previously untold story of one of our most treasured group of volunteers," General Manager Northern Cluster Denis Thomas said.
"It will be exciting to see what information, photographs and memories our community has."
The purpose of the search is to collect, collate and record any information on the previous Pink Ladies, who they were and the roles they performed throughout the Goulburn Health Service.
If you know of someone who was a Pink Lady, or you are interested in the rich history of Goulburn Health Service, you are welcome to come along to the meeting.
If you are unable to attend, but want to be involved, please call Bourke Street Health Service on 4823 7800 to register your interest.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) said the Goulburn Hospital and Health Service Redevelopment has reached another milestone, with main works now underway on site and due for completion in 2021.
The redevelopment will deliver a new four-storey Clinical Services Building as well improved distribution of, and increase in, on-site car parking.
A drop-in session about the hospital redevelopment at last Thursday afternoon at the Community Health Centre created much interest.
"Those who attended the session were highly engaged with the information stations, including the virtual reality tour," the spokesperson said.
"While the numbers were down compared to previous sessions, those who attended left with a clear understanding of the project and improvements being provided in the $150 million redevelopment.
"The public numbers added to the approximately 4 000 people who have been consulted throughout the project to date."
