This was the first meeting with the new executive following the annual general meeting in October.
Our next major activity is our Group Handicraft and Land Cookery Day at the Goulburn Workers Club on March 17, 2020.
The top-placed cookery items go into the State competition and the Group sends its best eight items in handicraft on to State competition at the State conference being held in Newcastle from May 4 to 8, 2020.
Last year we were in the top three of the State at the competitions.

The president, Leanne Lourigan, acknowledged the ongoing support of the Goulburn Workers Club for the Southern Tablelands Group and encouraged members of the public to visit the Club on March 17 to see the amazing handicrafts of quilting and knitting and taste the yummy baking including fruit, sultana and butter cakes.
The CWA is the largest women's organisation in Australia and aims to improve conditions for women, children and families. We reach that aim in various ways including lobbying for change, helping the local community, creating a network of support and meeting together in towns and cities.
The Southern Tablelands Group has branches in Braidwood, Bungendore, Collector, Crookwell, Goulburn Majors Creek, Marulan, Queanbeyan, Tarago, Taralga and Yass. The group has about 350 members.
- Women can join a local branch and have a voice in the nation's affairs, socialise with others and assist the community by contacting the Southern Tablelands Group Secretary Karen Pavey on stgroup.secretary@gmail.com.
