The trial coach services from Goulburn to Sydney and Canberra will be extended until March 2020.
The bus leaves Goulburn Railway Station for Canberra at 9am and goes on to Civic in Canberra, John James and Canberra Hospitals, Kingston Railway Station and then Queanbeyan. It returns to Goulburn by 4pm.
Another Trainlink bus service leaves Goulburn at 5am, arriving at Campbelltown at 6.40am before returning to Goulburn for 9am pick-up to Canberra. In the evening, people can board the 6.20pm bus at Campbelltown for 8pm set down at Goulburn.
Goulburn commuters regularly use the service to Canberra to attend medical and other appointments.
Regular user, Lawrie Sullivan said he had voiced his desire for the service to remain directly to Mrs Tuckerman on December 3.
"She has been supportive of keeping it going, but we have to keep reminding people to use the service," Mr Sullivan said.
"It was a positive meeting, but if it isn't used we will lose it."
He said others he had spoken to said they would like it to be a five-day a week service, but he was told it would be kept at a three-day a week service.
"A lot of seniors don't know how to use their concession cards, or even know that they can travel for $2.50, as well as having two free trips anywhere in NSW," he said.
He also suggested putting flyers in doctors' offices to make people who may be needing treatment in Canberra aware of the service.
Meanwhile, Mrs Tuckerman said she would stay on the case and have another update about it early in the new year.
"While we have managed to have the trial extended we must utilise the service or else we will lose it," Mrs Tuckerman said.
The trial service runs out in March, 2020.
