Is Goulburn Stags and United midfielder Jess Eddy following in her footsteps?
Jess has been selected to play for the Monaro Panthers u17 side this year after successful trials with the club in 2019.
The Sam Kerr admirer was shocked with the announcement, but was grateful and also anxious about how she would perform.
"I didn't think I'd actually get in, but I'm very thankful for the opportunity," Jess said.
"I'm proud of myself which is not something I usually say.
"I'm a bit worried of getting shown up, but that's alright."
Jess's father Fred Eddy said her daughter's success was well deserved and other players looked up to her.
"She puts the effort in and it shows," Eddy said.
"A couple of girls started to play because of her.
"She conducts herself well on the field and is respected."
Jess will be playing with and against quality players and hopes she can learn off them.
"I want to gain a lot more skills and to be able to play a lot better," she said.
"I hope I get a lot more knowledge and experience playing in the higher level than I would here [in Goulburn]."
Her biggest strengths are being able to kick far, her passes and her ability to read the play well.
Like most sportspeople, Jess's parents had an influence the sport she played.
"I started playing football in Crookwell when I was four-years-old," she said.
"My parents were soccer freaks, so it eventually became my passion and now I'm here."
Jess supports Chelsea as Kerr moved there, Liverpool and Perth Glory.
Her Stags teammate Paula Sapio was also selected, but was unsure about whether she would join the club.
