An Essential Energy spokesperson said "attending crews discovered faulty equipment was the cause of the outage".
Customers are encouraged to report power outages to Essential Energy by calling 13 20 80.

A power outage on Auburn street on both sides of Clifford Street caused havoc to stores and traffic on Saturday, January 4 for about 90 minutes.
Police said the outage began at about 10.45am and an officer was directing traffic at the intersection as the traffic lights also stopped working.
Stores like Sportspower, Your Home Matters and FSW Shoes were not able to run their business as usual.
Sportspower could not open its doors as it was too dark to see the stock and unsafe.
For all the stores, essential needs like computers, lights and air conditioning weren't working.

The outage affected 93 customers, according to Essential Energy's website.
Power was restored at about 12.20pm.
