The outage began at about 12.49pm and was caused by fire in the area, Essential Energy said.
A spokeswoman said she did not know when the outage would be fixed.
"We need to be allowed access into the area from RFS first so that it is safe for our workers," she said
"Once we have access, then we can give an estimated time of when power will be back on.
"Customers currently without power may not have their power restored until late this week or even longer."
