The RFS and NSW Fire and Rescue were called to the outbreak at 5.40pm Sunday.
NSW Fire and Rescue Captain Chris Corcoran said it burnt an approximate 100 square metre area. The outbreak occurred on private land on the southern side of Mazamet Road not far from Southern Meats abattoir. However, the land was not owned by Southern Meats.
Captain Corcoran said it was believed that powerlines beside the road arced after a bird landed on them, sparking the fire.
Four RFS crews, including Gundary and Goulburn Mulwaree Support attended with two NSW Fire and Rescue units.
The outbreak follows another this afternoon near Windellama, in which aerial support was deployed.
