The Quick Shear, as its sounds, is all about speed. Shearers from all over the region compete for the title of the "quickest shearer" in their category.
With total prize money of $6000 up for grabs, the competition is tough!
This event is hosted by the Bigga Golf Club - home to the legendary Bigga Burger - so come out for the day, watch one of Australia's oldest professions in action and enjoy some good old fashioned country hospitality!

Gunning Lions Market
The Gunning Lions Market is always good fun, a terrific mix of traditional country market wares with some wonderful local arts and crafts.
Located in and around the historic Gunning Court House, this first market for the year coincides with the Australia Day celebrations!
You can expect a tantalising range of homemade goods, children's toys and books perfect for summer reading.
The Lions Club will put on a barbecue, open for breakfast and lunch offering bacon and egg rolls, sausage rolls and steak sandwiches.
Why not make a day of it and explore everything else Gunning has on offer?
The fascinating Pye Cottage Historic Museum will be open where you can grab a copy of the Self-Guided Historic Walk, take the time to visit the atmospheric local country pub, fantastic cafes and eclectic range of local shops.
You could even bring your swimmers and have a refreshing dip in the Gunning Pool! What better way to spend your Australia Day.
