A man who was detected travelling at 199km/h on the Hume Highway on Saturday, February 8 has been sentenced to nine months' prison.
Abdullah Alkakouni, 18, of Yagoona, pleaded guilty to speed/manner dangerous, Class A motor vehicle exceed speed above 45km/h and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period when he appeared in Goulburn Local Court on Monday, February 10.

A disqualified driver will face court today after police allegedly detected the man travelling almost 200km/h on the Hume Highway at Goulburn.
About 5:45pm Saturday February 8 officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were patrolling the Hume Highway near Goulburn, when they allegedly detected a black Audi hatchback travelling southbound at 199km/hour.
Inquiries established the man, who held a learner's licence, was disqualified from driving until September 2020.
The man was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station, where he was charged with speed/manner dangerous, Class A motor vehicle exceed speed above 45km/h and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.
He was refused bail and was due to face Goulburn Local Court on Monday.
Southern region traffic tactician Inspector Greg Lynch said police would continue to target those who put others at risk on our roads.
"Reaching these speeds is unacceptable at any time, and adding in inclement weather and other passengers on board makes this kind of behaviour a recipe for disaster," Inspector Lynch said.
"We will continue to enforce the road rules and those who choose to ignore them will face the full brunt of the law."
