The annual celebration of music, dance, markets and street food fosters a blending of cultures for everyone to enjoy.
From belly dancers and Zumba to gelato and gozleme the festival is sure to have something for everyone.
Start your day off with the energetic African beats of Afro Zumba at 10am or finish with an afternoon session at 3:30pm.
Hear the roar of the lion during traditional Chinese dancing and help celebrate the year of the rat.
More than 25 groups will take to the stage including Bollywood dancers, Greek Hellenic dancers, performances from the Leider Theatre and much more.
The festival is the perfect family fun day out. Relax in the shade at Belmore Park and soak up the atmosphere.
Street food on offer includes: Italian wood-fired pizzas, Indian samosas, Mexican burritos, Greek churros, Russian cuisine, Turkish kebabs/gozleme, Filipino sweets and Italian gelato.
Additionally, the Goulburn Mulwaree Council has granted $3000 to the Multicultural Festival.
Councillors unanimously agreed at their most recent meeting to contribute the funds from the financial assistance scheme. It follows previous years' funding help for the fixture.
In a letter to the council, Goulburn Multicultural Centre director John Gunn said the event had grown from a small group around the Belmore Park rotunda to a full stage, light and sound system and the festival extending into the evening with Vibes Fest, for 12 hours of entertainment.
"Each year the festival grows in numbers and reputation, with many locals and visitors from Canberra, Wollongong and Sydney," he wrote.
The festival embraces music, dance and a wide variety of food stalls and costs an estimated $11,800 to stage.
Deputy Mayor Peter Walker was only too happy to support the request.
"It's sensational for the community," he told the most recent meeting.
"A lot of people enjoyed it and with what's going on around the area, it will bring a lot of smiles to people's faces."
Cr Walker said the number of immigants arriving in Goulburn was also reflected at sizable citizenship ceremonies in recent years.
"I think it's great for Goulburn," he said.
The Multicultural Festival will be held at Belmore Park on Saturday, February 15 from 10am to 4pm. Attendance is free. All are welcome.
