If you want to be the next Tim Cahill or Sam Kerr, local football is the best place to start. All clubs like MBK United and the Workers Stags are open if not pretty close to it.
STFA director Craig Norris is expecting an influx in numbers this season and is hoping to add a couple of extra competitions as well.
"We've got a lot of interest coming in at the moment," Norris said. "Numbers will be as big if not bigger. We're also hoping to get a ladies competition underway. It will most likely be a u13s and u15s all girls competition."

Like last year, the competitions will begin with all teams from the same age group before separating into two different leagues.
However, that will depend on numbers in each age group and the number of teams.
Norris encouraged everyone to take part in the sport with one of the highest participation rates in the country.
"The earlier people register, the easier it will be for clubs to get stuff sorted," Norris said. "It will be here before you know it."
In the STFA All Age Men's Division One competition, the Workers Stags will be looking to go back to back to back.
With numbers increasing, the STFA are looking for more volunteers to lighten the load and help improve the game.
Some of the volunteering roles include a game leader coordinator who provides training and allocations to young referees that look after u8 to u11 games each week and a canteen coordinator.
They are also looking for someone to enter results and statistics for competition games.
The season begins next month.
