It's the largest one-off donation the brigade has ever received.
One band on the night was The Rich Pitcher, and lead singer Richard Joyce said the event was a huge success. "We had seven local bands, which was great," Joyce said.
"Some bands were sort of coming out of retirement, some came out of the woodworks; all for a good cause."
More than $1700 was raised at the door alone while the rest was through raffle ticket sales throughout the event. "People flowed through the door," Joyce said. "We had about 200 ... consistently."
The Astor also donated $2 from every drink sold and 10 per cent of bistro sales on the night.
The brigade was grateful for the effort. Captain Rodney Thistleton said the funds would afford new equipment, such as an electric gate to "speed up the ability to respond quicker," and lighting towers for the fire trucks.
