The federal and NSW governments will cover the clean-up costs to remove hazardous or damaged materials including asbestos, concrete slabs and trees, so there is no cost to owners.
"The NSW government is here for the people as they begin to recover from the recent tragic events and removing the costs of property clean-up is one less thing people have to worry about," Mrs Tuckerman said.
"I encourage owners of destroyed properties to register for the clean-up with Service NSW on 13 77 88 as soon as possible."
Laing O'Rourke Australia has been appointed as the managing contractor to speed up the clean-up process.
Both uninsured and insured properties used for residential, small business or primary production purposes may be eligible under the scheme.
State Disaster Recovery coordinator Mick Willing said Laing O'Rourke would work with qualified local subcontractors and suppliers where possible to take advantage of local knowledge and expertise.
"Laing O'Rourke has the world-class construction expertise, the skills and equipment needed to do the job quickly," Mr Willing said.
