International Women's Day is just around the corner and Soroptimist International has organised a luncheon to celebrate the day and mark its 64th birthday.

Soroptimist International Goulburn president Sue Latta said International Women's Day sought to improve the lives of women all around the world and promote gender equality.
Soroptimist International has run for 64 years with 80,000 members and operates in 100 countries. This year's slogan is #eachforequal.
Ms Latta said Soroptimist was an organisation for professional business-women
"When it started there was not a lot around for women," she said.
"The organisation resonated with business-women in the town."
The organisation works with Anglicare, Growing Abilities, South Goulburn School, Share the Dignity and more initiatives within Goulburn.
Ms Latta said the luncheon was "all about gender equality".
"Women are so far behind the eight ball, we are nowhere near where we should be," she said.
"Equality is not a women's issue, it's a business issue, it's for everybody.
"We all have to keep striving for gender equality."
Solicitor Jaki Gore will talk at the luncheon.
The event will be held on March 8, 11:30am at Harvest, 175 Auburn Street, Goulburn.
Tickets cost $40 per person and include a three course lunch and a glass of champagne on arrival.
