The Goulburn Multicultural Festival consisted of over 20 acts from cultures like the Sri Lankan, Chinese, Nepalese and Indian cultures.
The big possibility of storms for most of the day, which didn't end up occuring, meant changing the venue from Belmore Park, but Goulburn Multicultural Centre director John Gunn said the festival was a great success, especially given the circumstances.
"I was very happy with today because I didn't know what to expect," Mr Gunn said.
"We shifted here in an emergency because of the threat of rain."
The changing of venues may have been a blessing in disguise as Mr Gunn now has to make the difficult decision of possibly ditching the park all together.
"This was actually a great venue to host it because it had a big stage area in the basketball stadium," Mr Gunn said.
"People enjoyed walking around to the markets and food stalls which made it a very good atmosphere.
"The place was full here in the morning and in the afternoon, people were coming and going.
"Everyone is asking me whether we would continue to do it here in future years and I am asking them the same questions.
"At the moment, a lot of people say they like it here, so I will need to talk to the council and committee to see what they decide."
If the annual event does stay at the Recreational Area, Mr Gunn said improvements would need to be made.
"The room got a bit hot and muggy," he said.
"We'll have to make it a little more cooler.
"I would also like more food stalls.
"We had about 20 stalls and I'd like to double that number.
"We had a similar amount of market stalls and I'd like to at least double that too, maybe even triple it.
"There's plenty of space here, so we can do that."
The Multicultural Festival was immediately followed by Vibesfest.
