PCYC Goulburn manager Mark Croker said the hub would be an advantage for the community as a whole but particularly for people living in disadvantaged areas.
He said the grant was just a portion of the money required to build and fit out the hub but "it will give us a start."
The Youth Hub would be run by the PCYC and contain hot-desks for community services and other programs to use.
Mr Croker said people upon completion people could walk-in or make an appointment to get assistance from a variety of services.
He said the initial idea blossomed with the support of Goulburn Mulwaree Council and other community services in the region.
For the remaining funds Mr Croker said the club would raise the money through applying for more government grants and fundraising.
The member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman MP announced the $220,822 grant for the PCYC on Monday, February 24.
The money is part of the NSW government's $886,930 investment to assist with construction and completion of three community infrastructure projects in the Goulburn area.
