As mayor of the Goulburn Youth Council, Charlotte has discussed community issues with the minister for mental health, regional youth and women, Bronnie Taylor MP.
She has also helped organise various events for young people around Goulburn and sits on the YMCA NSW Youth Parliament Mental Health committee.
Not only is Charlotte captain of Goulburn High School, she also won the Goulburn District Lions Youth of the Year Quest.
The program, established in 1964, is youth aged 15 to 19. Entrants are judged on multiple categories: general knowledge, personality, and public speaking.
The dedicated student shared a message for other young women for International Women's Day.
She said opportunities for young women were there; you just need to get involved: "There are enough people in Goulburn who support women doing great things.
"If you choose to take those opportunities you will be supported," Charlotte said.
She said it was also important to ask for help when you needed it.
Charlotte dreams of continuing her service to the community after graduation by joining the defence force.
"I think it's a good opportunity to learn leadership and teamwork and a good place to start off in life," she said.
The young achiever said she wanted to give back to the community and her country.
