1984

Based on the novel by George Orwell, 1984 is the story of Winston Smith, a cog in the giant machine state of Oceania. Physically and mentally under the omnipresent eye of Big Brother, Winston struggles for love and freedom in a world of distrust and violence.

Collector Community Markets and Youth Day

Alex Seton's 'The Great Escape' uses landscape and the material of the Wombeyan Caves and quarry as its central tenet in recreations of places and moments from childhood memories. In Gallery 2, Lucinda McDonald, a Southern Highlands-based artist, constructs sculptures from offcuts and discarded pieces of steel. The Window, curated by Emma O'Neill, a writer, editor and marketing professional, adding a fresh, mindful and contemporary twist to the Gallery's permanent collection.
