It was the first time whole student bodies were at school together at the same time.
And if the faces of some of Goulburn's primary students are anything to go by, they were excited to be there.
"Our students were on a high this morning meeting up with their friends and teachers after such a long time at home," said Bev Grant from Goulburn South Public School, where the returning children were greeted by a gigantic bee and staff blowing bubbles.
The bee is the school's mascot, encouraging students to 'Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful'.
